Publication: After Incarceration: A Guide to Helping Women Reenter the Community

This course will teach SAMHSA’s new guidelines on the reintegration of incarcerated women into society. After the course, the participant should have a better understanding of the process and the difficulties associated with reintegration. Additionally, the participant will learn valuable information on how to offer support to newly-released women.
SAMHSA’s “After Incarceration: A guide to Helping Women Reenter the Community” provides an overview on the various aspects of the reintegration process as well as the gender-specific issues related with incarcerated women. This information will provide participants with the ability to better care for this particular demographic.
This course is intended for counselors, social workers, psychologists, and others who may be working with incarcerated or newly-released women.
